The Ifugao call wooden bowls as duyo. The most common style features a notched rim which recalls the notching in the ginuttu (belt worn by male Ifugao kadangyan). Used in daily life, the duyo serves as vessel for food and spices. During rituals, it is used to hold rice wine. There is also a duyo called pama’ahan, used as a vessel for rice wine in rice rituals, with an elaborately carved rim.
