A short quadriform burden basket worn on the back with a tumpline. It is generally made of split rattan with whole rattan corner posts and extended feet (Lane, 1986; 213). They carry rice and vegetables on steep trails of central Ifugao (Lane, 1986; 66). This is a shorter version of the balyag (accession no. 0030 and 0031) and is also used to transport rootcrops. Both types of baskets are considered specialty products of the Ifugao village of Cambulo (Capistrano-Baker et. al., 1998: 92).
