Larger pieces of lingling-o are worn as earrings by the Kalinga and the Bontok, the latter refer to earrings as singsing or seng-seng. Due to the weight of these large lingling-o pieces, it is not uncommon for the earlobes of the wearer to be stretched, sometimes to shoulder length (Maramba 1998).
