Ulbong is a woven basket shaped like a jar. This is called urbong in Kiangan, Ifugao and ulbong in Banaue, Ifugao.

According to Lane (1986), the ulbong is “a household storage basket for rice previously milled. This is generally in the shape of a jar with rounded body and sloping shoulder. It is completed with a tightly fitted cover and handle for hanging it out of the reach of rodents.” (p. 215)
